NABIHEAL M34 Consortium Meeting in Maribor
Shortly before the end of the 3rd year of our 4-year project, the NABIHEAL consortium met at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (FERI) at the University of Maribor, Slovenia, from 14-16 October 2025 for our General Assembly.
After a warm welcome from host Dr. Selestina Gorgieva (UM) and project co-coordinator Judit Tomsen (CIBER-ICMAB), we were greeted by the Dean of Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of UM, Prof. Dr. Matej Vesenjak, who expressed his enthusiasm for our project and the international consortium involved.
Next we were treated to a keynote lecture on “The Complementarity of Liquid Phase- and Solid Surface Zeta Potential: Biomedical Applications” by Dr. Thomas Luxbacher of Anton Paar GmbH based in Graz, Austria. Dr. Luxbacher is member of the program group Textile Chemistry at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at (FS) UM.
Then we jumped into internal discussions about the progress of our project. The day ended with a tour of the UM FERI and UM FS facilities.
The following day was also devoted to work package presentations and discussions to advance NABIHEAL during the final year.
The meeting offered an opportunity to align on several steps for making NABIHEAL a success. We look forward to sharing more results in the final year!
