During the latest edition of the European Researchers’ Night (ERN) in Santander city (population 175,000), the event attracted over 6,000 visitors. A total of 300 UC researchers showcased hands-on projects across 40 stands. At the CIBER-UC stand, the NABIHEAL project was presented, highlighting the significant burden of chronic wounds. Interactive puzzles engaged participants in learning about the stages of wound healing, while the presentation emphasized the European Commission’s commitment to funding research aimed at addressing this issue. Specifically, the project focuses on developing multifunctional biomaterials and underscores the importance of centralizing data and ensuring both internal and external access to it.
