NABIHEAL Keynote and Posters @ ESB 2025

It was a pleasure representing NABIHEAL alongside several exciting sister projects at the 34th Annual Conference of the European Society for Biomaterials (ESB 2025) in Torino, Italy from 8-10 September 2025.

Our co-coordinator Nora Ventosa (Nanomol Technologies and CIBER-CSIC), co-chaired the session “Smart & multifunctional biomaterials toward the Horizon – Part 2” and gave a keynote on “Multifunctional Biomaterials for chronic wound treatment” with Damien Dupin of Fundación CIDETEC and coordinator of the project FORCE REPAIR.

It was a full day learning about developments in multifunctional biomaterials for a variety of applications.

During the conference, NABIHEAL also had two posters:

  • Fiorenza Rancan of Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin presented “Wound models based on ex vivo human skin for the screening of wound healing biomaterials”
  • Selestina Gorgieva of Univerza v Mariboru presented “Bioactivity of modified bacterial nanocellulose in non-surgical debridement and infection prevention in burn wound healing”
