The Institute for Medical Research and Occupational Health (IMI) leads NABIHEAL’s work in Biocompatibility and Safety Evaluation. IMI boasts strong expertise in safety and toxicology assessment of advanced materials.
Within the NABIHEAL project, IMI is in charge of the toxicological evaluation and safety profiling of the materials to advance the proposed products to an advanced stage of preclinical development (regulatory preclinical phase) of the biomaterials selected.
BNN visited IMI’s facilities Zagreb, Croatia, to get a first-hand look at the instruments they are using.
