NABIHEAL Consortium meets in Berlin

From 5-6 July 2023, the NABIHEAL project consortium met at the facilities of Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin, one of the largest university hospitals in Europe and a partner within the consortium.

The meeting, held in the Pinkus Library, started off with a welcome from Prof. Dr. med. Annika Vogt of Charité, who briefly introduced some history about Charité hospital. Dr. Martina Hüging, a clinician from Charité, gave the consortium an overview of complex wounds in a detailed presentation. She included stages of wound healing, wound assessment, as well as the characteristics of the most used dressings. Then project coordinator Dr. Nora Ventosa gave an overview of the NABIHEAL project and its progress in the first 6 months.

Thereafter, each work package leader presented the activities and progress of his/her work package, and challenges were discussed openly within the group. The two-day program provided ample time for discussion, decisions and alignment of activities.

Several partners stayed on for an Advisory Board meeting with member Univ.-Prof. Dr. Jan Kottnar, director of the Institute for Clinical Nursing Science, on 7 July. Overall, it was a fruitful meeting that left us motivated to continue with the tasks ahead of us!
